The Big Bang is a UK-wide programme which celebrates and raises the profile of young people’s achievements in science and engineering whilst encouraging them to take part in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).  E4E is one of the main sponsors of the Big Bang in the East Midlands which involves a range of local and national industry partners to demonstrate the career opportunities available and to enthuse young people about STEM careers.

The 2018 event was attended by students from secondary schools in Derby and the surrounding area, as well as many exhibitors including Lubrizol, EON, the Institution of Engineering & Technology, JCB, the University of Derby, SNC Lavalin, Rolls-Royce, Toyota, Bombardier, Pentaxia and the iMechE.  Over 2000 people attended ((mainly schoolchildren).
